Home Theater Upgrade

Yes, its getting close to time to upgrade the home theater from the projection TV and 1999 Onkyo stereo and gigantic Cerwin Bega AT100 speakers, to something newer.

After the dinosours are removed then we need to get the component stand in place and even though a bit pricy, we really like the screen doors and height and width of the one found here.

Next, time to hang up a new TV on the wall (or on the new component stand). I am most impressed (for the money, size and quality) of the Samsung LN52A650

Finally, stereo and dvd player so you can feel the movies.

It's a tough call currently but I am leaning more towards the Yamaha YHT-690 but I really do like Onkyo products and like the Onkyo HT-S5100
of course if money wasn't an object then I would like to get a Bose Lifestyle System.

When it comes time for the installation I recommend referencing this page here.

So the total for the upgrade would run about: $5000.00
Component Stand: $1300
TV:$2300
Audio/DVD:$700
Cables/Mounts/Tax/Install: $700

Is this a wish list or are you really going to do it? Looks great...and I'm not into this stuff at all!

It's more of a wish list after seeing how great a backlit LCD at 120Mhz looks, especially while watching the NFL Playoff games.

So in short.. its a dream that will hopefully turn into reality sooner then later.
